SDSU commissions 13 ROTC cadets

Thirteen ROTC cadets were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. military at ceremonies May 6, the day before their graduation from South Dakota State University.
Commissioned from the Air Force ROTC, plus their hometown and initial assignment, were:
• Edward Dion, St. Paul, Minnesota, air battle manager in the U.S. Air Force, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida
• Eli Fink, Scottsbluff, Nebraska, cyber warfare officer in the U.S. Air Force, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi
• Jessica Gile, Brookings, nurse in the U.S. Air Force, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi
• Nathan Harvey, Elk Point, combat systems officer, Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida;
• Riley Jacobsen, Brookings, intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas
• Jared Rennich, Bedford, Massachusetts, pilot in the U.S. Air Force, Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma
The cadets were commissioned at 7:30 p.m. in the McCrory Gardens Education and Visitor Center Great Room.
 
Commissioned from the Army ROTC were:
• Stacy Anderegg, Sioux Falls, ordnance officer in the South Dakota Army National Guard
• Josi Bouza, Wagner, quartermaster officer in the South Dakota Army National Guard
• Justin Heyn, Castlewood, engineer officer in the South Dakota Army National Guard
• John Kirkvold, Sioux Falls, military intelligence officer in the U. S. Army
• Dimitri Mahoney, Colorado Springs, Colorado, infantry officer in the U. S. Army
• Osmal Momotic, Sioux Falls, cyber officer in the U. S. Army
• Gohan White Bull, West Columbia, South Carolina / Pine Ridge, infantry officer in the U. S. Army
