A Congressional Report says South Dakota suffers one of the nation’s highest rates of brain drain. That’s when large numbers of highly educated people leave a state.
Some of that drain happens at South Dakota Mines in Rapid City. Graduates with science and engineering degrees can’t always find a job or help start a business within the state.
